Arsenal will be
without Thierry Henry who sustained a groin injury in training this
week. Sol Campbell, who has been hoping to make his comeback from an
ankle injury sustained on February 1 remains unavailable. As are,
Mathieu Flamini, Gael Clichy and Manuel Almunia all out through injury,
but Freddie Ljungberg and Edu are back after hip and hamstring problems
respectively.
Blackburn midfielder Robbie Savage is back and likely to have to settle
for a place on the bench. Savage played 70 minutes in the reserves on
Tuesday after six weeks out of action with a groin injury.
Blackburn have proved to be tough nut to
crack since Mark Hughes took charge but are light weight up front and
even a Henry less Arsenal have the edge here. Arsenal have picked up
since their title hopes banished and are currently on a 6-match winning
streak in all competition.
